General questions about the practice
What is Christian Counseling?
Christian counselors are licensed counseling professionals who use the latest evidenced-based treatment interventions for your specific needs. Because Christian counselors have a faith-based approach to treatment, they are able to also integrate the Christian faith, beliefs, and values in to treatment. The counselor will always ask you what your needs and preferences are for integrating your faith in to the treatment and will seek to encourage your spiritual growth on your recovery journey.
Can I see a Christian counselor if I have different beliefs?
Yes, our counselors are licensed counseling professionals and trained to provide counseling in collaboration with your personal beliefs, values, and preferences.
What is a typical counseling session like?
Some sessions might be more structured that others. For example, some sessions may focus on processing feelings, emotions, and circumstances. Other sessions may involve specific treatment steps, psychiatric education, and/or emotional support. We encourage you to share your desires for the treatment session with your counselor so they can provide you with the best care.
